Fan Gang
PhD in economics, doctoral supervisor, researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and professor of economics at Peking University. He is currently the vice president of the China Economic System Reform Research Association, director of the National Institute of Economics, and Dean of the National High-end Think Tank China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute. The main research areas are macroeconomics, derailment economics, and development economics. He obtained a doctorate in economics in 1988, served as the director of the Economic Research Department from 1992 to 1993, and deputy director of the Economic Research Institute from 1994 to 1995; since 1996, he founded the Institute of National Economic Research from 1996; from 2006 to 2010, 2015-2018 He served as a member of the Monetary Committee of the People's Bank of China. He has been hired as a research consultant many times by the World Bank, OECD, and Asian Development Bank. In 2004, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Overgne from France and was awarded by the Royal University of Canada in 2010; in 2005, 2008, and 2010, Fan Gang was selected as "the world's most respected in the world" and British "Views" magazine three times in a row. One of the 100 public intellectuals and one of the "100 thinkers in the world".
